Artisan Chocolate and Wine Pairing Event - Trust Cellars
Lan Wong and James Boulanger founded a boutique chocolatier located in the lush region of the Walla Walla Valley, where vineyards and fruit orchards scale the fertile terrior. Their specialty is crafting chocolate creations that are not only inspired by the fresh produce grown in the valley, but also derived from the various complex notes found in the wines produced in the area. With flavors such as oak chestnut, lavender, rosemary, clove, and violet, you’ll find that their chocolates are a natural accompaniment to our lovely wines here at Trust Cellars.
Please join Lan Wong and Trust Cellars for a spectacularly, decadent chocolate and fabulous wine pairing event in the Trust Cellars tasting room. We will taste star anise button with our 2012 Cabernet Franc (releasing Oct 1st) and a chili pepper truffle with the 2011 Syrah. In addition, Lan will have other goodies for your tasting and buying pleasure. Tasting for chocolate is $5 and tasting for wine is $5 (refundable with purchase of wine). See you soon!

Robin Barrett and Coyote Kings with Big Monti Amundson - Sapolil Cellars
Walla Walla’s own Rockin’ Blues and Bluesy Rock Band is joined by Big Monti Amundson. His name is Monti Amundson but most people call him Big Monti. Not just because of the man’s physical appearance, but also because of his obvious talent and sheer presence. When Big Monti takes the stage, it’s clear that there’s more going on than the usual extended guitar solos – the man plays and sings larger than life.
When Monti gets compared to Stevie Ray Vaughan or Johnny Winter he just says “thank you.” The fact is, the big man has his own style. “I’m a blues guitar player in a band that plays rock n’ roll,” is how Monti explains it. He doesn’t so much as straddle the line between the genres as bend it, ignore it, or race back and forth across it until both sides go up in flames. The blues of Big Monti comes straight from the heart, cuts through your soul and is as real as it gets.
