Gastropub with Dragon’s Gate Brewery – Fat Duck Inn

Saturday, August 2nd

6:00-9:00pm

As most of you know, nearly every Saturday April through October we hold a dinner at the Fat Duck Inn. Most of those are featuring a local winery that we have partnered up with to showcase their wines paired with Rich’s consciously sourced, seasonal food. This years line up is incredible, we will be working with some of Walla Walla’s most talented winemakers. Some are just up and coming and others started the Walla Walla wine industry as we know it today.
Winemakers are not the only talent coming to dinner; we will also feature Gastropub dinners where we serve locally crafted beers with Rich’s elevated pub food – with a twist! Dragon’s Gate Brewery is just one of the fine breweries that we will feature this year.
A new addition to our calendar are Friday night dinners, we call them ‘Dinners at the Duck’. They are five course wine paired dinners that Rich has created around five hand picked, local wines. Not one local winery but 5!
Take a look at who we are showcasing this year and give me a call to reserve your seat at the table. You don’t have to be an Inn guest to join us, you don’t even have to be a visitor in town, locals are always welcome. So come one, and come all, don’t hesitate to make that call. There are only 18 seats at the table and dinners are all ready selling out!
We look forward to see you here!
Cheers,
Cynthia and Chef Rich Koby

New on Night Life Walla Walla: The Harmonica Pocket - Power House Theatre - http://goo.gl/wJdQjH

The Harmonica Pocket - Power House Theatre

  • The Harmonica Pocket – Power House Theatre
  • Saturday, August 2nd
  • 2:00pm
  • Tickets: $6-9

When Harmonica Pocket takes the stage, audiences don’t just sit back to be entertained. Their shows deliver highly-interactive experiences that get children (and their grownups) singing and moving in their seats. With swinging story-songs, hula hoops, and a suitcase of props, the group mixes up music, movement, and imagination play into a gigglish jambalaya.

Audiences are invited to become a tree on a windy day, flex creative writing skills by dreaming up lyrics to songs, and make hilarious sounds as they toss around an imaginary “Ball of Nothing.” The acoustic show is sprinkled with wah-wah guitar, ukulele, jaw harp, washboard percussion, harmonicas, and an invented instrument called a “Hinklehorn” – part kazoo, part plumbing fixtures.

Zany skits, hula hoop, and spinning flags, wrap every Harmonica Pocket show up with a thoughtful, playful bow.

The Harmonica Pocket is best suited for ages 2-8.

This show continues the Adventist Health Little Watt’s Children’s Series of Family Entertainment at the Gesa Power House Theatre. The next show will be “Bilbo’s Journey” on December 4
